-Some people buy Call of Duty to play campaign and look at all the neat skills and characters and story line.=Skillers
-Some people buy Call of duty to play multiplayer and shit on everyone else and have the best Kill to death ratio and be known as best PvP'er.=Pker's/Skiller's

What this server is doing is forcing player to actually play the Campaign(skill/quest) Pvp'ers can't be fucked to do and that is why the server went from 200 players at 6 and 7 months to 30-50 at 1 point. Now hovering around 80-115.
-Why would players who ONLY LIKE PVP'ING want to grind useless skills and quests? Really want an answer to this.
-Sorry, you guys advertising players to come back to play this is a bad idea in the current state of this game.
-What makes you think that someone who hasn't played this game in 15 years will want to come back and grind for months to reach good stats when they've been grinding other games?
-This game is at the very bottom of popular games with no player base.
-Player who moved on to Rs2 will not be rejoicing with joy to see RSCR I'm sure they moved on from this game and more than happy to pk rs2 style where there is nonstop fights and New skills and content and 100,000 players.
-We grew up when this game had like 13k players and that was the biggest game we ever played. Times changed.
-A person can buy CS:GO and get into the action right away
-A person can download league of legends right away and get into the action right away

The money being wasted on advertising when this is a old outdated model is just a joke tbh.

You are forgettin one very important thing. Rsc is a role playing game not a first person shooter and rpg means Leveling in order to become the powerful beast of a player you want to be not being handed max stats on a silver platter. This is a pretty standard model for this type of game. This is like me saying because people play racing games I should be able to run the equivalent of 100mph.
What this game is doing is actually have you play it... heaven forbid. although it would be cool to have all skills trainable fully in wild so at least the pkers could do everything while always looking over their shoulder as there would always be the chance of fighting action.
Again this is an rpg Lvling goes with the territory.
Advertising for a holiday and with one big content update just finished and mostly ironed out and another around the corner is a great time to asvertise. Especially with the mobile option. Should advertise as much as they can before anyone else comes out with a mobile version.
Players will come back for these reasons after 15 years: rscrevolution killed Rsc and it's a wasteland full of bots with no support, here it is still being developed there is a small but steady player base of actual players but the biggest reason is that it is on mobile. Everyone has cell phones now and for cell phone game options this happens to be a damn good one. It is a shame rscrevolution and Google won't let them advertise on their play stores.
The games player base got left in the dust betrayed by the original developer. The players are out there, just most in ignorance of the option to play on android or that there is a rsc world out there that is not full of bots.
Players were eventually forced to move on to rs2 or rs3 there are some who would be very happy to come back to rsc although a lot of these players quit rscrevolution after ivp/rscrevolution made a long series of poor choices with the game.
Times always change but again mobile is a platform where rsc has more content and detail then the majority of mobile games.
You can log in here and start training any skill you like right away. You could even make a low lvl pker right away. There is nothing stopping you from playing the game at all.
Higher combat rates just mean more maxed chars afk training the npcs with good drops which floods the economy with more "rare" (not really rare anymore) items and adds even more useless stacks of gold. The problem being that anyone can get the stats to go kill the npcs with the good drops rather quickly so the demand for these items goes down because everyone can farm them not just a small portion of our player base.
This is why we see prices so out of whack as you can get weapon and armor drops quickly so they are cheap but not nearly as many players take the time to farm resources so this is one half of why resource prices stay high. The other half is just the abundance of gp flowing into players banks from killing or afking high lvl npcs with multiple accounts then consolidating their wealth. If you have 4-6 accounts making 1-2m a day or more you suddenly have a problem.
