can not open desktop version

i have looked threw the posts, have not been able to figure it out.

-windows10
-using firefox
-thought i downloaded java (its saying lastest version verified)
-i click download desktop and open with java

error message:

unable to install java

there are errors in the following switches:
"C:\\Users\name\desktop\launcher.jar";.

check commands are valid and try again

HERE IS SOMETHING FOR YOU TO TRY .
1) GO TO ADD/REMOVE FILES AND UNINSTALL JAVA
2)RE INSTALL "JAVA JRE"
- TO DOWNLOAD JUST GOOGLE JAVA JRE AND GO FROM THERE
PLEASE POST BACK IF YOU TRIED THIS METHOD AND IF IT WORKS

Try to make sure there are no old versions of java installed. That could he causing this error.

Also, be sure to use the original Launcher.jar file downloaded directly from RSCRevolution.com and do not extract any parts of it.
