can't get PC client to open

hey all,

sorry in advance.. i'm a little drunk and thought i'd come back online for a spot of PKing

resurrected an old desktop after my laptop died on me (reason i haven't been on much)

it's running vista with a 2ghz celeron and 1gb ram so is pretty slow.. anyway, i tried to open the newly downloaded client for it to pop up with a java error.. did the obvious and reinstalled Java but now when i click the client it does nothing!

any ideas? really starting to annoy me now

try to right click the launcher and hit run as admidistrator

thanks for that but no option when i right click to do that, just open and open with etc sad

when i install java through chrome it takes me to a specific download for a chrome install.. maybe that's something to do with it?

Hi AR,

Go to: C:\Users\Your Name, and delete the .rscrevolution folder.

Re-open the client and let me know how it goes.

thanks for the reply, can't see such a folder.. i did see a turnip folder (boo) which i deleted though

try right clicking the launcher hit properties in 1 of the tabs there u should be able to check run as admitastrator

alternativly you can go to http://www.bluestacks.com/ download blue stacks and run it, its a android emulator for pc and once you have that installed you can go on bluestacks go to the site here and get the android version of the game

Hey Pluto! Good to see you're still around man! I've picked up another computer today, well I say new its still pretty old but with a dual core and 4gb ram it'll cope slightly better with rscr. Just putting a fresh OS on it and I'll hopefully be online soon big_smile
