Introduce some new monsters where people can farm.
These monsters must be in wilderness.
The location where these monsters reside is HUGE. Meaning, team A can farm on one side of the dungeon, while team B can be farming on the other end.
They drop fragments/gems.
Fragments/gems can be traded in at a "magic generator" that gives you a random item depending on the fragment/gem you handed in.
Information:
You can have more than one type of these creatures. The stronger creatures drop the better fragments but they're harder to kill. OR You have one kind, but the drop rates are lower for the better fragments.
The monsters need to be strong
Drop rate of fragments can be decided later
Trading in fragments gives you a reward based on the fragment, e.g. a low tier fragment has lower % for good items.
Fragments can be traded so people can farm and sell them to the gamblers who want to buy fragments and trade them in
We can come up with rewards/percentages later. Here are some examples:
X certs
X runes
Rune armour
Dragon items
X herbs
Stackable items are rewarded with Y amount where Y is based on tier of fragment. Alternatively, you could rng the amount rewarded with higher tier fragments having a higher chance to reward more
That is all for now, feel free to contribute to the idea.
Update 24th May:
The creatures
A list of creatures from weakest to strongest, and the fragment they drop. Fragment tier is also from lowest to highest.
ID | Creature (Name) | Drop ---+----------------+--------------------- 1 | Vanagloria | Fragment of Arrogance 2 | Gula | Fragment of Gluttony 3 | Ira | Fragment of Rage 4 | Acedia | Fragment of Sloth 5 | Luxuria | Fragment of Lust 6 | Invidia | Fragment of Jealousy 7 | Avaritia | Fragment of Avarice
Vanagloria can be killed solo (requires level 60 and over)
Gula can also be killed solo (if player is over 90 or else in party if they are level 60s)
Ira can be killed solo if player is over 100 or else they need a party
The rest requires flats and/or parties
The above is just an example of difficulty.
Vanagloria/Ego
Gula/Gluttony
Ira/Rage
Acedia/Sloth
Luxuria/Lust
Invidia/Jealousy
Avaritia/Avarice
The Location
Here's an example of what the area could look like (this is not scaled right, it's just an example). I couldn't find a proper RSC map editor, and I couldn't be bothered finding textures so just imagine this place with a nicer terrain/textures, maybe some lava too. The important idea here is that each spot is separate and connected via some path, e.g. bridges. (ignore the tiles in the top right corner, I forgot to remove them).

+1
There needs be more action in wildy and fighting for the farming spot would be fun.
-1 I stand against wild only pve updates as I think they are unfair to those who do not wish to participate in pvp.
sounds like a personal problem.

Also I'd love a new wild dungeon maybe the ladder could be inside bandits camp or something and the other end could come out near graveyard. If it's a reasonable distance from teleport then hopefully parking/multi pking will be a little slower.

Yes I also envisioned a dungeon to accommodate these new creatures. I'm not too fussed though, which is why I omitted the location from the original post.
I am all for risk.. make it hard to kill surrounded by other agresive npcs or make it hard to get to. Could also be in a non teleport area... if pking is dead look at what the issues with pking are on this server. A new npc isn't going to bring more people who want to pk. It is going to force the people who may not want to pk to participate in order to kill said npc. You already have plenty of AFKers if you want to kill these people. In essence all your doing is adding better drops for people who pk because you are a pker and want more wealth. I am about keeping things even and not slanting the game to favor any one type of player. rscrevolution is about freedom of gameplay. I am all for finding a solution, however I think your main issue is the game is largely played out. Yes there are a few people who love the game but as time goes on there is less interest, more games to choose from, and people have less free time or are of the age where video games slowly get fazed out of their life.
If people are not flocking here to pk then perhaps we should look at some of the reasons why... parked accounts? Multi logging? General poor attitude being presented a hand full of pkers that makes others not want to join in the "fun", even if it is not the majority it is what is seen and comes out.
I am sure the list goes on.... and who knows perhaps there are other servers that have some better set ups for pking I wouldn't know as I have not been to them.
For me if you want more pvp I would add mini games like capture the flag etc. If you want to be paid for it you have a 50k-100k entry fee and the winning team splits the pot .

I can't see any NPC's being dangerous that are outside of wildy. Even KBD is quite easy to farm with no danger, there would be no risk whatsoever as people would go with 3 items and full food etc. and would defeat the purpose of this entire concept. Killing the mobs is the easy part, but defending the farming spot and not getting PKed is the hard part.

The issue is there is nothing to entice people to go into wilderness to create a PK atmosphere; hotspot is decent but not enough.

Killing 3 item AFKers isn't PK.

You have the same opportunities as the PKers, and if anything the server right now is slanted towards skillers and quest noobs.

My main issue is that PK is dead and there is nothing to do in game. Give me a mob that's decent to farm and that will draw in players to fight for the spot.

Sure some of those things might be contributing to PK decline, but the main reason PK is declining is because PKers log in and have nothing to do in game and log out if they can't find others PKing. If we have something to do in game like farming mobs in wildy then we stay online and continue playing.

I personally don't understand the mindset of a skiller.
Why are you playing RSC if all you want to do is spend hours left clicking a tree?
How does one derive pleasure from left clicking on a tree?
Why are you playing an MMO if you don't want to participate in PVP? Go play single player games.
Surely there are better alternatives in 2016. Even playing the real rscrevolution would be a better option than playing a 2Dimensional, and outdated version of the game.
For some reason, people are drawn to the allure of having level 99 in skills when in reality they have nothing to be proud of as it is an extremely easy goal to achieve when you consider multi logging, batching, ridiculously high exp rates, etc.
However, I would like to suggest (very provocatively) that the potent combination of android and batching is the downfall (in regards to PVP) of this server as it encourages players to adopt a more passive play style.

Some people enjoy skilling more than PvP. I play for the nostalgia. When I get on I go mess around skilling or farming, that's what I like, it isn't about patting myself on the back every level I get.
Saying the batching and android is a downfall to PvP is kinda naive. People are going to do what the enjoy regardless of the extras..
