Samsung Galaxy S6 Login Issues

I am having an issue logging in on my Samsung Galaxy S6 with software 5.1.1. When I type anything into either boxes name or password it just remains blank. I've done everything I can think of restarting my phone, clear the data of the app, and reinstalling the app. Hopefully someone can help figure this out!

The exact issue that i have on my edge plus

It leaves the fields blank once ive typed the name and hit enter

ps. its also frustrating to nto be able to see the fields youre typing in, because the keyboard blocks them

Download Swiftkey keyboard. Default keyboard did same thing to me on my S6. Swiftkey keyboard works like a charm.
