1) The problem: Let's say I'm afk-style combat training, always getting attacked by low lvl NPCs while trying to maintain a conversation in PM or in ::p or ::1. As soon as I get attacked, it switches back to the "all messages" tab and I lose my place in the conversation. Or let's say I'm trying to answer a question in global and I've scrolled up to read it, and then a friend logs in. It switches back to all messages and I lose my place in the chat.

The solution: When a new white-text/blue-text/whatever occurs, DON'T have it auto-switch back to all messages. Or, add a menu option to toggle that auto-switch off.
It was implemented!

2) The problem: Let's say I just typed a bunch of inane crap that I'm about to send into global, and then I realize it's not worth anyone's time. Now I have to hit delete a bunch, which makes it easier to just hit send.

The solution: The escape button esc should delete the text I've typed and bring the chatline back to a single asterisk *. Or, if sending a private message, closes the PM dialogue box. Also, escape should exit out of windows such as the bank or auction house.

3) We don't need it to say "general" in front of our names for ::1. The white name (or if subbed, paleblue or orange name) and green text is enough of a tip-off, especially since it's easy to differentiate from ::2 (which would retain its header, "PKing").

The solution: Remove the "[General]" prefix from ::1 messages.
