Can't get the client to work on Windows 10

When downloading the external client for windows, it downloaded as a .JAR file and attempted to open with internet explorer.  After disabling internet explorer it attempts to open with IE Active X Marshalling Library.  Can't figure it out so for now I'll play on mobile.  Any suggestions?

I've uninstalled Java, reinstalled both 32bit and 64bit versions, removed all RSCR files then did a fresh install of both java and RSCR, made a batch file for the launcher and attempted to open with Java with no luck.  I've done everything others have said on forums so guess I'll be playing on mobile only :\

For anyone experiencing the same issue and searching forums for the fix. Download Jarfix. I was having this issue on Windows 10 and Jarfix defaults all java related programs to open with Java. Needless to say after downloading jarfix it's now working fine.

Hoping this aids in my case when I start playing on windows.. if I happen to encounter similar issues..
