I open the Android client, it loads up updates, then it crashes at the end when it's suppose to open up to the login screen. I try again and same thing sad

Deleting old file ans redownloading worked.

This is the symptom of some corrupted cache file(s). Uninstall RSCR, then run a cache cleaner like CCleaner to delete the hidden RSCR cache. Then install the .apk and run it fresh.
