Because people were too lazy to have their own fishers doing the fishing.. That's the issue. You can save yourself the hassle by taking a few weeks and doing some fishing.

It was free food for 5 days because PKing had completely died out since it is extremely expensive these days. 2 trips with runes and food costs just as much as a set of rune. Its good that more people came to wilderness during those days and the prices still didnt drop the entire time. If you want a profit and are a skiller all you do is stack up on money meanwhile PKers spend all their money on gear. It was a good change, great to have these free food periods every now and then. Why would anyone want the pking to be more expensive?

Can confirm that there were no problems selling swordfish/deaths/airs/fires during free PK season. I sold millions of gp worth of all of them at 450gp/250/34/34 and they sold quickly and easily.

Free PK in moderation does nothing but help improve the player base of the server. Unless you pk you'll never realize how ludicrously expensive it is. A 30 something with kids to deal with does not have the time to farm 50 to 100 million gp in order to have months worth of PK supplies. They want to log in, have a pissing contest with the other pkers and mouth off a little bit and have some FUN. Periodic free PK enables them to do this without crashing the market for non-pkers.

Because the wild is not free to roam for anyone, if you want to control the area and reap the benefits you should have to pay for it. players that band together and takeover wild make more xp/profit than anyone else, you want to make their profit margin even greater by leaving them no expenses whatsoever? gtfo.

Stupid post, swordfish are still 500 and we're desperate to buy them almost no supply and you're moaning about not enough profit?

Foods too expensive and is reducing pk, I don't understand why more action isn't being taken.

Free pk every once in a while is great, I am unsure how long but they typically tell us its a free pk weekend once per month for 3-4 days, the food can only be used in the wilderness.

Swordies are more than 300gp each, and when the pking is popping you need swordies for more than 1 account, you want to PK actively, you need to have Pkers of all levels, so it would take hours of fishing for 1 hour of pking, you clearly haven't pked.

Read all the posts. Seriously this is just cancer. The update was one of the best updates for a change for PKers and now skillers and nonpkers talk about wasting hours and hours to get PK gear. Same old shit. Theres 2 types of players... people who play to PK and people who play to skill. Sure there are combinations of both but more often than not that is not the case in 2019. Like Jauro said if you want to PK actively you need to have tons of gear and chars and you really run out very fast with active PKing. 1k swordfish might be a lot to some nonPKer but really you can easily use more than 1k swordfish on an active PK day. Flat wars you go thru alot real fast, PKing on hybrids you die alot etc etc. You dont always get to pick up the PKed stuff because of looters, PJers, fort chest system etc. I can assure you there are were few PKers who make money off of PKing.

Runeknight, I said 2 trips of casts and food almost as expensive as rune set, not pots. Lets do some math. 100 death runes, 400 airs, 500 fires. 2 trips. 200 deaths, 800 airs, 1k fires. Lets take the lower end of prices lately. Swordfish 400 ea x 25 x 2 = 20k for swords. Runes lower price 250/35/35. 50k + 28k + 35k = 113k. Rune set 30k + 50k + 65 = 145k. But thats with the low end prices for supplies. I dont see how I was off really.

There are people fishing all the time.  The main issue here is the removal of p2p from rotation.  That caused a huge increase in the demand for swordfish, and almost no demand for shark.  Therefore any shark for sale are a steal of a deal, and swordfish are sky high. :\

The fix is not to flood the market with free food, nor to add a shop with unlimited access at a rock bottom price.

p2p needs to be in rotation in order to stabilize the market.

This f2p only wild was requested, even demanded.  Now the consequences of that are coming to the surface. :\

What you have wrote has displayed a complete lack of understanding of economics, how the world works and pretty much everything else and kind of shocking you're an admin here based on what you've wrote.

You're saying the server should be changed to be made less popular so that people pk less and use less of their swordfish....just wow.

The demand has been increased while supply was cut by removing notes going into inventory and you're solution would be to make the server less popular so less people are using swordfish.....

No one is asking for free food, have some foresight.

Add a swordfish fishing spot in edgeville,
Make swordfish gives double notes.
Make the fort swordfish spot give double swordfish.
Add 100 swordfish noted drops to high level monsters.

You as admins really can't understand this and think of these things to increase supply? really???

As was told to you on discord, swordfish and drops in general from high level monsters were increased 2 weeks ago.

Basically almost every demand from pkers has been met or implemented in some way. 

Cutting out the need for something entirely will always have consequences, good or bad.

There are many pkers who barely pk anymore, due to us removing p2p from rotation.
