I think the DMM is a cool idea, although completely different from the first season, the second season has some cool concepts. While that mode is geared toward pvp, with a short timeframe in which to gather armor and fight (which I think is great since it's not just nonstop rune-on-rune pk), there is really no reason to skill. So, similar to that idea, I'm suggesting a skilling event.
Have it be a similar time frame to DMM (2-3 weeks), but with Iron Man rules (no trading, no AH, and of course with that it means it's a fresh economy). Similar to how DMM have a red name, AMM have a green name. Put a ridiculous XP rate like 40x-50x (everyone should have platinum sub benefits from the get-go to keep an even playing field, but you could require a gold sub buy-in to create your character or something). Disable wilderness (maybe put a portal to agility course but disable pvp). The goal is skill total. The first X amount of people to get to 1782 get sweet prizes, or if nobody gets there in the time frame, top X in skill total. You could probably find a way to work quest points in there or clue scroll completions too. I think there's a lot of places you could go with this, and I think there's enough skillers in our community that it would get a good turnout.
What do you guys think?
