New Event Type Ideas

I have a few different event types in mind for the possible future I wanted to share.

1st) Is about a world boss of some sort with minions that spawns in a specific location, a message will appear in the chat with the name of boss, level & location. Everyone should be able to attack it at least and the highest dps gets the drop. Reward from drops could be: Clue scroll, Noted items, Runes, GP and possibly some Slayer experience.

2nd) Is about an Agility course race, which consist of getting to the finish of the course when 3 laps have been made around. Rewarding the top 3 that finished with GP.

3rd) Is about NPC killing a random specific amount of the announced NPC when event starts. Example. Kill 50 Jogre. The first to kill the amount mentioned will receive the GP reward.

and the highest dps gets the drop.

This would mean that only maxed players would be able to win. There would be no point in playing for lower levels.
Unless everyone had the same stats & gear at the start of the event.

This would end up being a competition of who has the lowest latency. There's not a whole lot of skill involved. Unless the courses are randomly generated and different enough each time that you couldn't learn the courses.

Again, this would be a case of maxed players always having the advantage. And for this example, players would flock the the area and try to pile on the few spawns in the area.


Some new events would be nice. But I don't really think that any of these would work very well.

I agree. Those high combat will have more advantage so nvm about the 1st & 3rd..even if for the world boss fight any one who participated doing some damage and gets something, players would be able to use alts to get more stuff..and for the 3rd what could be done is instead of being a event it could be like a daily challenge, talking to some NPC and get daily challenges of some kind to get some reward, like exp lamps not items.

1) We already have the Reaper boss. Don't know if the frequency that it's farmed has decreased since it's release, so maybe adjustments could be made for it.

1) the revenant roams wild and offers good drops to who does high damage. I don't think many people go for it as it is.

If you're looking for tough battles, hard clues can be challenging.

Evil Dan is the greatest quest implemented with lots to kill for great reward.

Have you not noticed Free for All Max Damage events and 1v1 Tournaments everyone is exact same level and stats and gear during the events? All automated events here are made to be fair.
