have asked a few mods recently they believe poison daggers should work against both npc and PvP but neither do

if poison arrows give poison damage then so should daggers?

cheers

Ofc that would make sense. Poison dagger, if you stab something with it; It should poison. No matter if it is during PvP or PvE.

What % odds do you think are fair to poison another player during PvP?

Considering the damage difference in p2p of using a mele weapon vs arrows.. I would say it needs to be a) high enough to warrant use, b) high enough to matter as in taking up a 20-22 health slot in inventory.  When implemented I am sure people will bring anti/cure poison as a counter, so I think 40-50% is fair, as I think it will be countered easily.

i actually think it should lower thinking more along the line of poison being used in a ganking.  dont forget you can use protection from ranged in pvp.... but there is no protection form daggers in pvp.

I miss pking in chaos druid robes and bunny ears

IMO poison dagger should have 100% chance to psn player when hitting with it. If you get scratched with poison dagger irl, you will get poisoned.

I agree.

As it stands, rune dagger is pathetically weak thus the only merit it would have is the poison effect, which can easily be combated with the higher lvl anti-poison pot anyway.

Maybe not quite 100% PvM, but it should still be high enough to be worth using on higher lvl enemies like black demons.

Maybe even release dragon dagger as a slayer drop too.

I like, rather I love the idea of PVM poisons, AND on players.

How would it be op if it was 100% chance? psn dmg is really low, you can make it null via anti-poison potions. Basically it is super easy to counter. In PVE it also could be used more if it actually did poison things.

Its basic d&d that poisoning is not always successful.  Should there be no 0s in combat as well?
