thats a large area. anyway to actually see the hotspot?  will i get skulled walking threw it if its in my way?

You can't physically see it's a hotspot but you can use ::hotspot command in game to locate the current location. You won't be skulled unless you're in a party or attack someone there. If you enter hotspot in a team, you'll be red skulled which means any level can attack you regardless of what level wilderness you are in. And you will lose all items if you die.

oh so ::hotspot tells me were it is. but were in edgy is it? do you just join a team and wander around till you stumble into the spot?

In edgeville it's down in the dungeon past the members gate and that whole wilderness area. You can wonder a hotspot without being in a team, but to gain control and reap the benefits, you would have to be in a team. If you are in a team, as soon as you enter the parameters of the hotspot, you will be given a red skull.

does the team need more than one player? can i make a team with just me?

Sorry I believe it's actually a party you need to be in (right click friend list > invite) and not a team. They are two different things. So you would need a minimum of 2x players.
