So, I was thinking earlier about something that I think would be pretty cool to have in the background, almost a skilling style similar to that of farming... And I came up with a skill; maybe Finance, Investment, Commerce, whatever would be best. The main premise of it would be similar to that of the stock exchange but with some twists.
So, here's my newly thought out skill idea, and I will edit it (hopefully) as I think more about it.
At level 1, you may invest in one business, that being the General Store; an easily accessible place across most of rscrevolution, would be fun to have as a business partner as it is the probably the first shop any of us ever accessed as a beginning player on this game as we traipsed through REV.
Next, I was thinking, you can invest up to 100k at level 1, but with each level, you may invest up to 100k more into a business, with a skill max of 120 (to make it an even number of millions, not 9.9M, which would just feel gawky to me). These stocks may go up or down on a random note, or if the time could be put in (would probably require a decent amount of it) a way of systematically finding if a "business" within rscrevolution would have made or lost money that day.
Now, back to investments in businesses... I was thinking, maybe the Gnome Restaurant business at level 5, and after that, every five levels a new business may be invested in. At level 120, I was thinking that it would be pretty fun to make it the Dwarf Stock Exchange in Keldagrim, sorta like owning the rscrevolution Wall Street. Other businesses I think would be cool would be like Aubury's Magic Shop, and some other businesses like the armorer in Varrock, the clothing shop, the bars of rscrevolution, maybe with 99s in certain skills you could own businesses related to that skill (Like maybe having a share of the slayer masters' shops, or the Warrior Guild shops, or the Ranger's Guild shops).
Right now, it's just a thought I wanted to put down before I forgot it.
