November Newsletter

First, thank you for supporting RSCR during Halloween!
We had a really successful event, with record-breaking population counts!
We expect to see even more for an epic Christmas time in December big_smile
Previous months saw additions of treasure trails, epic events and cosmetics, and we have more in store.
But November will be all about improving our core server functionality and features, while reworking underutilized content with great potential.

Wining Stake Solution

We know some players have been shy to stake lately due to wining.
Wining is when a character's build is very strong from training on dummies, or receiving boosted quest XP rewards.
We have added a meter to the duel message which lets you know how far your challenger is off from the curve.
(A negative HP offset would imply they are wined and stronger than average for their level).

More Boosted Rates

We really appreciate our patrons who have subbed their chars or donated to the server.
You are the reason we are able to keep running this!
As a thank you for your support, subscribers enjoy a continued +1x boost rates until Friday.

Other misc things:

-Halloween decor, pumpkins, witch's brew, cursed rune, talismans, cloak of shapeshift wiped
-Revenant removed

(We know a lot of the above features were really popular favorites. You should expect to see them again in some form again in the future.)

-5% of players keep ONE pumpkin if they had any wiped after event
-Database optimized for high flow of players
-Range while walking fixed (allows opponent to walk 1sq before following starts)

Great event! Loved the pk stuff. Dont forget that thanksgiving is a holiday tooooo. Maybe a turkey rev?

Will you guys be building up the team system/bonuses?  It seemed like a good concept but wasn't really fleshed out.  Still need team bonuses for agility and thieving.  Would also like to see team bonuses for skills at other levels, as well as the inclusion of more skills.

+1 , dunno about adding other team skills , since pretty much the other skills are buyable's .

I don't see a problem with adding bonuses for a skill even if it is a "buyable" skill, just alter the team bonus.  All of the current team bonuses are just chance for noted items.  I'd like to see a lot more variability in bonuses, things that are just minor quality of life bonuses that wouldn't affect the game tremendously.
