-1 mate weak

There are a lot of good ideas that are posted here.

There are a lot of bad ideas that are posted here.

There are a lot of people here who comment on ideas with slight improvements of their own as well that then get edited back into the suggestion.

There are also a handful of people who "-1" damn near every idea for "new" content for this game and give absolutely no input on the idea other than "Nope, won't work" or "Nope, just don't like it." or "Nope, if you want that go to RS2."

So here is my suggestion...
If you are going to -1 something or nix it... how about you do something constructive and suggest some ways the idea or suggestion could be improved if that is part of the reason for your downvote.

I'm not saying every -1 requires a "You could make this work if..." at all. Occasionally there comes an idea that is just absurd, would not work or would break the balance of the game. In that case "-1 because X, Y, and Z"

I'm going to cite an example here from the recent Runecrafting suggestion and one specific comment on it. Nothing against that player, as he has given decent feedback before, but this is just the most recent example I can find and something easy for you to find in context as well.

-1 I support runecrafting but not if it is the same as RS2... lets come up with a new idea for the skill or before you know it we will end up with... rs2

If you do something like this... then how about letting us know what YOU have in mind that you are trying to push the idea towards? And if you don't have any idea and it's just something you don't like. HOW do you make Runecrafting different than RS2? In my opinion I think the only way you can make this different is to change all of the models and change all of the locations... Runecrafting is unique to rscrevolution isn't it? I don't know that I've heard of it anywhere else... but either way this is a very difficult subject to be creative with since you're taking something practically invented in the last 10 years or so and asking to completely re-invent it.

Is there something about this suggestion that you would like changed? Or do you just want to be able to keep "-1" things and not giving any feedback or constructive criticism to the idea?

-1 it's called feedback if someone's feedback is that they think your idea blows then that is their opinion and feedback on the matter. With some ideas it is not a matter of trying to improve the suggestion but saying in no way form or fashion should this be implemented as suggested by the OP. In this case cub (I appreciate the work he did and it was well presented to say the least) made a suggestion I gave my feedback (too much like rs2). Now if cub were to come up with a skill to create runes that was not a copycat of rs2 runecrafting I would most likely offer my support. I would love to see him do a take on shape shifting.
