no sound running rscrevolution ubuntu 14.04lts Linux Mint

Hello.
Rscrevolution runs great under ubuntu because it's simply a java game. The problem I'm having is no sound effects. I have the in-game setting set to have sound effects on.  I looked in the .rscrevolution folder and found the sounds.mem file. Is there a way to get the sound effects to work? any help would be great.

Sound effects are disabled in the client for now, the problem isn't in your end.

Thanks for the quick reply.  Do you know when sound will be re-established? Perhaps, music can be added?

Yes, I'd also like to request the original sound to be added into droid and pc clients eventually! would be a pleased subscriber.
