Virtual Leveling (120) and True Skillcapes

What if there was an option to turn on virtual leveling in this server? If you played current RS or at least OSRS then you probably know what it is. I'll explain.

Virtual leveling is the progress of how far past Level 99 you got in a skill in XP. You know how the game displays "14,391,160" as the XP required for Level "100" but your level never actually goes to 100 and your "Remaining XP" goes negative instead once you pass that point?

Very few people on this server are self-driven to get the max amount of XP possible (200m) in any skill (The current top contender for this is Thieving followed by Combat stats, Fishing, etc.). Virtual leveling along with "true skillcapes" that you can buy once you reach level 120 (104m+ xp) could get more people playing as some people may even race to be first to 120 in a certain skill that no one has reached 104m or more xp in already.

I understand that some may feel burdened by this sort of thing with the amount of grinding required (xp for 120 is 8 times that of 99!) but that's why you'd know about it through virtual leveling only! Some will even feel satisfied for reaching it!

And obviously, "true skillcapes" can be bought once you reach 120 in that skill (price TBD), look cooler, and have a better advantage than regular skillcapes, or it can just look prettier on your character with the same buff (but greater buffs are more enticing).

And don't worry, I know how this sort of thing could impact combat in general, but more importantly, PK! I think virtual levels could be enabled/disabled in the wilderness (on rotation similar to F2P/P2P and God mage) and in any PVP. There can even be an option to enable/disable it in stakes. Or it doesn't have to affect peoples' combat stats at all beyond flats, especially since we're not sure what "virtual flats" could do to the server, though it'll make Slayer considerably easier!

Right now the closest thing we have to this is team levels (which go up to 255 if you didn't know!). What do you think?

So a 99 (120 level) stat of attack would hit more often than a 99 (112 level) correct? I think it brings a fun new element to grind for. I already think the skill capes need a buff as is, but i like the idea of unlocking a new bonus or bonus' for getting to virtual 120.

Also, in terms of cooking, at 99 you can still burn rays and turtles. so somewhere in the 110's it would be cool if you never burned them anymore. Would be a nice perk.

Great suggestion.  As long as it doesn't change pvp then there shouldn't be any issues.

i feel it would be nice to be able to level past 99, but those levels only help with npcs.
For example you get 150 str you hit harder vs npcs, but not players.
