We are back at it again!
This time we are here to bring you all huge changes regarding the hot potato, that is the wilderness. It's never too easy to make decisions that are most likely to disappoint some of our players, but sometimes they are very much needed to get things back on track. Our goal here is to make whole wilderness more balanced and accessible for everyone, as well as making it sustainable in the long run. Without further ado, heres everything that changed today in a nice, compact list:
Wilderness overhaul:
-Fort has been removed
-Hotspot has been removed; Hotspot tokens and control points can still be spent at zeonks store.
-East wilderness content removed; "skiller" castle, range guild, and green dragons.
-East wilderness is no longer 1v1 area
-Slayer dungeon overhauled and re-located to P2P area, Ghostly Lair moved to P2P
-Castles custom changes reverted, removed bank and altar.
-Npc spawns reverted into normal RSC spawns.
Edgeville changes:
- New market place location
- New bank added closer to wilderness
- Mad Zeonk retired, Obelisk added for teleportation.
- Monks and an Altar next to the Obelisk.
Obelisk changes:
-Obelisk is no longer a platform with 4 objects.
-New teleport mechanics; no wait time after choosing destination, no AOE teleport.
-New locations:
* Castle (not accessible from edgeville)
* Chaos Altar
* Graveyard
* Hobgoblins
* Lava Maze
* Mage Bank
New Wilderness Slayer Dungeon
- New location in p2p wilderness
- Two entraces:
* Ardougne Lever Hut
* Next to Animated Axes Hut, under the tree.
New additions:
Castle rune spawns buffed
-Elemental runes increased to 5 each
-Death-rune x2 spawn added
Drops buffed slightly for cast runes:
-Darkwizard
-Hobgoblin
-Zombie
Master darkwizard lair:
-New NPC Master darkwizards (Level-62) added north-east of Castle
-Drops heavily biased to Fire-blast runes.
Dragons Nest:
-Located near Lava Maze, where Fort was.
-Dragon drops specialized towards supplying pking.
-Contains new type of dragons that do not require anti-dragonfire shield; they always deal dragonfire on beginning of combat with max hit up to 10.
*1x King Wild Dragon (lv 245)
*4x Wild Dragon (lv 73)
High Wild Altar:
- Altar allows you to offer bones for 20% more experience.
- New npc to un-note and note bones
Chaos Altar
-Added two Wild Dragon spawns
Other new in wilderness:
-Anti-parking: Characters logged out for longer than 30 minutes will be moved to Edgeville.
-2 IP Wilderness
-Fixed bug with 5v1 where nobody could do cast damage
New Combat Formula
Maybe old news to some but still something we want to specially mention, as it was not as well informed than wed like.
Last month we developed a new combat formula, the goal of it was to get it as close as we can to original rscrevolution Classic and to our knowledge we're much closer than we have ever been before. After a week of very succesfull trial, we decided to implement it permanently.
The new formula will have following effects:
- NPCs are less powerful
- Player defense is more balanced
- More satisfying hits.
Some minor added and some fixed:
Not directly related to wilderness.
-New toggle options added:
* Chat filter
* Fatigue message
You can access these settings via in game Options menu (Wrench menu).
Please note: Even when chat filter is now optional, we still very much enforce our rules to maintain pleasant enviroment. (!!!)
-Added confirmation pop-up for Quick-gear save button.
-Fixed visual bug with item spawns disappearing, when you run circles around them.
-Fixed bug where attack command wouldn't reset when your character stops.
-Bank search will now automatically have focus when opening bank.
-World map now shows where your location
-Added a setting to enable original rscrevolution Classic sword sprites.
-"Cut web" Right click option added.
