I constantly miss when people PM me. Usually because I'm not looking at the screen, or at the right part of the screen, at the exact second that they message me.

Sometimes my PMs can go unanswered for hours.

So my suggestion is to make the Private and Team tabs light up when you receive a message, and to stay lit up until you check the tab.

+1 for this also. I would like to see it possible to select a chat mode and not have skilling messages switch it back to the all tab.

For example, sometimes when I am fishing, I want to permanently be on global chat, but every time I try and catch a fish it flicks across to all again. I would like it to remain on global.

It is possible to change the client settings under the 'Auto switch to ALL' selection, change the setting to disabled to achieve this.

+1 to OP suggestion, it would be a nice QoL update for the chat system.

I'd absolutely love this.

Hello, this is a nice idea, but in my mind I have a different plans for our PM future.

My idea comes from combining an issue that our support ticket system is basically a one way communication, staff cant reply to a support ticket and start a conversation about the issue without comming to the player while he is online. The other part is a thread started by our beloved Jedi: https://www.rscrevolution.com/viewtopic.php?id=14740, where he suggest ability to send players items and later in the thread conversation starts about sending people messages while they are offline.

I'd love to solve this issue by implementing a chat system that allows players to send offline messages, attach items to a message and messaging system would be integrated with support tickets, to make the quality of our customer support even better.

This would eliminate unread messages as well.

Those are some very promising words smile
Love the idea of offline messaging. and I can imagine how attaching items can be useful in much the same manner. Looking forward to what this might eventually lead to. I will try to be patient big_smile

I have worked on the client today and wrote the feature requested in this suggestion thread. I'd like to note that the feature in my previous post will still be developed.
