Would it be possible to come to an agreement with rscrevolution and get this game on google play store? Possibly give them a percentage of the subscription money or profits or whatever the case may be. I think this could be huge if it was easier for people to find.

Edit: oops this was supposed to be posted on suggestions board. If a mod sees this could it be moved? Thanks

rscrevolution still made several thousand a month from RSC players. It just meant nothing compared to the millions off OSRS/RS3.

Yea that's what I'm saying. With it closing there will be no income anymore. Maybe some sort of licensing agreement or royalties or something for them to allow rscr on google play.

I wouldn't say this is likely to ever happen..but adds nice thought for expansion I suppose.

rscrevolution would never sell out to this lmao. Imagine rscrevolution being affiliated with a private server, won't happen mate.

We're exploring our options. We don't have any optimism whatsoever but we'd be crazy not to try to acquire licensing rights under advisement from legal counsel.

Theres just no way rscrevolution would ever affiliate with this game, if they sold out it would be big news even if its classic. This would be due to the founding of the server from a private server which lets not forget is already illegal because the client is still property of rscrevolution.
It just wouldnt be viable in or in there best interests. ever. They'd look "crooked" in the public eye.
just my two cents, id like to see someone prove me wrong

The entity called "RSCRevolution" will not make an offer to rscrevolution because of our weak negotiating position. A different entity unaffiliated with private servers could negotiate and incorporate us later, however.

Best bet would be for rscrevolution to somehow recognize the talent and passion your Dev team and staff has and offer them a job at rscrevolution. This is what they did with the 2006Scape owner. They closed him down. Then offered him a job working on OSRS.

However hundreds of thousands of people wanted OSRS. As much as I enjoy this server; maybe 5,000-10,000 people show any interest in a nearly 2 decade old java game. The only reason rsc lasted so long was because it had no overhead or very little. The moment you bring in even 1 Dev now it has to generate $20,000-50,000 USD a year just to stay net positive.

Nice thought but I wouldn't bank on either. rscrevolution doesn't seem to care about anything RSC related so I'd just let it be. Seems to be working fine this way. smile
