If you managed to log in to these forums, you can go to Character Manager and just change your password there. You don't need to know your old password (which is kind a weird imo, anyone who gets access to your forum account gets access to your accounts in-game)

But if you had to make new account to the forums and don't have your characters listed under Character Manager, then I suppose you got to wait for a staff member to solve this.
