Just a thought.

Some sort of new reward system for players.
If a player has shown they are helpful, or maybe event winners.

Throw some trees, a couple fishing spots, some convienent rocks to mine with a bank close by.

As a prize, a certain player can get sent there for an hour and collect as much materials possible before being brought back.

This is something a Mod could set up and wouldnt take much brain power to make it efficent and "fun" for the skiller.. also a decent group of low level rats that are agro, for the pkers to train for an hour.

Would be cool. Add 1-hour tickets or whatever as drops from npc's. Win in events. Maybe for achieving something. like 1400 total. or all quests complete.

They gotta make it same XP in the wild for combat then SKULLED. tongue

1. Make a range spot there
2. A fast spawing Dragon bone spot
3. A master fisher or something that allows you to train there without spending GP on food or just make it so those NPC's can't hit you?
4. Wont log out AFKing.
5. No fatigue.
6. A higher lvl NPC in a different spot for high levels.
7. It's Gold + Platinum subs exp rate. tongue even if you don't have it.

I was thinking more for collecting materials rather than xp gain. They come hand in hand, but people dont power chop magic trees, power fish sharks, or power mine mith+

Yeah, how much can one person really get in 1 hour. The set up of everything would be the deciding factor. I wouldnt imagine there would be loads of people there all the time.. just like like 1 person a day, for 1 hour.. or even only 2 or 3 people a week

exactly, instead of GP or rares you get to train/skill. Sounds like you could have events without having to have items/gp for said events.

I know this is old but it still could be a good start to something. I like the reward/time limit suggestion for winners of events or even a lottery ticket. Limiting could help find the happy medium of it being beneficial to the player without killing the economy. Could also motivate a few others to participate in events including myself.
